Power Toys Configurations
I installed power toys because I wanted different Display split options, aka FancyZones.
I thought it would add or replace the existing Display zoning options, but it doesn’t (Or I haven’t spent enough time to figure out how to use it.)
Unfortunately, it added some annoyances for me.
Startup – in progress
The first is that it doesn’t start at startup, even though I tell it to. I don’t know if my windows is corrupted, or if there are conflicts with my Screen Capture tools, CAD tools, SW Tools & PowerToys – maybe one day I’ll take the time to figure it out.
Quick Accent – SOLVED
I was having a mystery popup at the top of my screen and I couldn’t figure out what was causing it, until one day, it stayed long enough for me to capture it!

Turns out my what I feared was my system being compromised was my system being modified by a ‘friendly,’ an annoying friendly.
I don’t know why PowerToys enabled this – it wasted my time tracking down what it was, but once I figured it out, it was easy to remedy.
Remedy: Open PowerToys, scroll down to Quick Accent on the left and then turn off ‘Enable Quick Accent’

Hopefully this will help you save some time if you see these random popups when you hit the space bar!
